A.C.Williams was founded in 1886 by, Mr. Adam Clark Williams in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, USA. However there was a big fire at the company, and a decision was made to move to Ravenna. Ohio. Actual production started there in 1893. Like the other famous cast iron companies of the time (Hubley, Dent, Kilgore, Arcade, Kenton), A.C.Williams manufactured cast iron cars and trucks.
This car is put together from 2 pieces of cast iron and then the axle and wheels were added. It is stamped Austin on the side of the door and there is a raised circle on the door also presumably from where the iron was poured. This one was probably from the 1920's or earlier. Value $45.00 in 2018
